Suma Josson is a film maker and writer. Her films are on a wide range of subjects like the agrarian, social and environmental issues. She has made two feature films Born in Kerala, she graduated in English Literature from the College of St.Teresa, Minnesota, U.S.A. Having begun her career as a journalist, she switched over to the visual medium. Of late, her films have focused more on agriculture in India and the problems faced by small scale farmers. She is also a poet and fiction writer and has published three books.

Amudhan R. P. born 1971 in Madurai) is a documentary film maker and media activist. Along with local youth, he founded Marupakkam, a media activism group that is involved with making documentaries, organising regular screenings, film festivals and media workshops in and around Madurai. He has been making documentaries since 1997. His prominent films include two trilogies on caste and nuclear radiation. ‘Shit’ has won the best film award at the One Billion Eyes film festival in 2005 and the National Jury Award at the MIFF 2006. He founded Madurai International Documentary and Short Film Festival in 1998

Surabhi Sharma is a filmmaker, educator and curator. based in Mumbai. India She has worked on several feature-length documentaries apart from some short fiction films and video installations. Her key concern has been documenting cities in transition through the lens of labour, music and migration, and most recently reproductive labour. Cinema verite and ethnography are the genres that inform her filmmaking., Surabhi Sharma studied film direction at the Film and Television Institute of India, Pune. She holds a post-graduate diploma in Social Communication Media from Sophia College for Women and a BA in Anthropology and Psychology from St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai

K.P. Jayasankar and Anjali Monteiro are documentary filmmakers and researchers. They are retired Professors, School of Media and Cultural Studies, Tata Institute of Social Sciences. Jointly they have over thirty-five documentary films and have over 30 national and international awards in film festivals.
