Seruppu (footwear) is a documentary about people of Dharmanathapuram, a slum in Tiruchi in the south Indian state of Tamilnadu. They make footwear for survival. They are Arundhatiyars, a lower caste in India. They are also Catholics. The film is partly ethnographical and partly sociological.
