Shemej Kumar K K

A professional engineer with an artistic vision working @ Kuwait. I have written and directed several theatre plays and five short films and won few awards for direction and screenplays. Presently performing as the president of Future Eye Theatre Kuwait. My lockdown short film “Who is waiting for Godot” won 10 awards from various international festivals. I have won Best Director Award (2014) from Kerala Sangeetha Nadaka Akadamy (KSNA) – in the Gulf Pravasi amateur drama competition for the play “Ushnamekhalayile Pen Kutti” I have reworked the story Metamorphosis by Kafka to an Indian scenario and presented as a play of 80 minutes in Kuwait and won special jury (actor) award from Kerala Sangeetha Nadaka Akadamy (2016). Won Rotary International Excellence award (Kala Ratna) in 2016. We have been invited by Kerala Govt. to perform our play “Ushnamekhalayile Pen Kutti” for Pravasi armature dram festival held at Kozhikode in 2018 Jan as part of Lok Kerala Sabha conducted by KSNA.
