Raja Shabir Mohd Khan

Raja Shabir Khan is the winner of 60th National Film Awards, India. He won three awards (Two Gold and One Silver) for his film ‘Shepherds of Paradise” in the category of best non-feature film and best cinematography. After completing his studies in Political Science and History from Kashmir University, Raja Shabir Khan was accepted into Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute in Calcutta (SRFTI) in 2003. Raja Shabir Khan is the first person from Kashmir to attend film school in over two decades. Raja Shabir has worked for both National as well International channels like NHK (Japan), KBS (South Korea), MediaCorp (Singapore) and DMZ (South Korea). After graduating from the film school, Raja Shabir has made many documentary films: Shepherds of Paradise, “Shepherds of Paradise” won the Best Long Documentary award in Jeevika 2013. Delhi-Fear and Freedom, Children of Paradise, The Last hope.
